From the natural paradise of La Alpujarra (Andalucía), our homonymous rugs arrive to our blog: the alpujarras granadinas. They are typical of this wonderful enclave located between the provinces of Granada and Almería, on the southern slope of the Sierra Nevada, one step away from the Mediterranean coast. An area characterized by its striking valleys and ravines and the great presence of white both on the peaks of the mountains and in the flat roofed houses that are placed neatly at the foot of the mountains.
The Mudejar influenceand Mozarabic It is still present at this point removed from the Andalusian community. It can be seen in its architecture as in the dozens of craft workshops and looms that make up the Alpujarras, original design rugs that are well worth for any room in the home. In Lanjarón, Pampaneira, Bubión, Capileira… Towns of this Andalusian region, the most usual thing is to have an Alpujarra presiding over the living room, the dining room or the entrance to the houses.
